Get Playing - Adult beginners
Squash, once you get the hang of it, is a fast paced game. It is played in an enclosed court which means that the ball is always close by and rarely gives you a chance for a rest. Therefore it is advisable to have a reasonable level of fitness before taking up the game. However, if you are not as fit as you would like to be I can help you get your fitness up to the required level by teaching you the beginner shots and gradually increasing the pace of the game. I have a series of slots available for one on one sessions and would be more than happy to talk it through with you before you decided to take the plunge!
Equipment and clothing - For squash beginners t-shirt, shorts, socks and trainers are more than adequate. Most courts will prevent you wearing black soled trainers as this damages the court. As you progress, as with all sports, there is a wealth of specialised equipment designed to support your game and play at your best. This includes ‘breathable’ fabrics as well as specialised footwear which supports you when twisting and swiveling on court.

If you already play squash but would be interested in improving your game I have a series of one on one sessions available at clubs in East Grinstead and Lingfield. Alternatively I would be happy to come along to your nearest club for your session.
